The December 2015 Birchbox was just too adorable to resist. I’ve never been one to buy monthly subscriptions boxes, however I visited Selfridges earlier this month to find myself indulging in the Birchbox stand. They had a limited time offer where you can build your own Birchbox from an amazing selection of products for only £15. With this offer you were then given a £5 off code for the December Birchbox (in fact, a Birchbag for this month) so I went for it, and I’m so pleased I did.
Not only is the bag so nicely designed, with green velvet, black faux leather and gold sparkles, the products were outstanding (these I will break down for you). I’m so pleased that I subscribed, as from this I expect amazing things for the following months. Now, let’s get onto the products!
1. The Ultimate Party Kit by Benefit – RRP for both £41
You’ll find what you need in this small package of goodies to look and feel amazing for party season. You receive small sizes of Benefit’s Puff Off! And They’re Real Push-Up Liner duo. I’ve used the Push-Up liner before and really liked it, as it’s very easy to work with to make the perfect winged liner. But, I’m new to the Puff Off! Cream, and by first impressions I’m in love. I suffer quite badly with morning puffiness, and after applying a small amount around my eyes I looked so much more awake and ‘de-puffed’. These are both absolutely fantastic products, and I highly recommend getting a full size of Puff Off for those who suffer with puffy eyes.
I also received bonus gift, a small size of Catherine Malandrino perfume in Style De Paris, the most gorgeous oriental floral scent with Mandarian, Nashi Pear and Red Grapefruit.
2. ModelCo Ultra Long-Lasting Lipstick in Smitten – RRP for set of 3 £15.50
I’m so happy I received the colour Smitten, as it’s so perfect for party season and Christmas day. It’s deep berry red colour suits many skin tones, and has a semi-matte order priligy dapoxetine finish that I’ve found is extremely long lasting. For a longer lasting finish and deeper pigmentation, simply blot with tissue and re-apply. Another bonus is that you receive a full size lip bullet that is a Birchbox exclusive.
3. Ciaté London Paint Pot – RRP £9
Again, in my Birchbag I received the most perfect berry red that I’ll be wearing for Christmas without a doubt. From my experience with Ciaté London polishes, they’re super long lasting and take ages to chip! The boxes come with an assorted range of colours, I received the colour Dangerous Affair, lucky as I’m a sucker for rednails!
4. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish – RRP £14
I’m so over the moon to have received this, as it’s a product I’ve wanted to try for absolutely ages after hearing such amazing things. Not only does this cleanser remove dirt and all of your make-up, it sweeps away dead skin cells leaving you with serious glow. After using this since I’ve had it I’ve noticed a difference to my skin, mostly when I apply my make-up. My skin is definitely a lot smoother and much more radiant. It’s such an easy product to use, you simply massage into dry skin and wipe away with a warm wet muslin cloth, which is provided. Anyone that is in doubt whether to buy, I say it’s definitely something you’ll love and get what you paid for.
5. Rituals T’ai Chi Foaming Shower Gel – RRP £8.50
Rituals is a brand I see across many bloggers social media pages, and most of the products look fantastic. This particular product I’d never heard of, and now wonder why. It’s calming white lotus fragrance is perfect for to pamper your skin with. The formula transforms from a silky gel to luxurious foam on contact with water. It makes you skin super soft and silky from just a small amount. This is one I’m definitely going to re-purchase.
