Since subscribing to Glossybox in December 2015, this is my second box and I am still so pleased with the beauty gifts I receive. Unlike any other boxes, you receive more make-up and skincare products than anything else. Glossybox’s mission it to try and take up the latest trends in 2016, so they send you products to help with this. If your New Year’s Resolution is to discover more amazing beauty products, then they’ve got you covered. I love that the box includes products from some brands that I’ve never come across, so it helps you find out more than just the usual brands.
It is true to say that smoky purples and blue hues have been a big hit this season, mostly seen on the runways at Christian Dior. This gorgeous purple mauve satin eye shadow helps you achieve the look so easy, just pack it onto your lid and blend out. Apply with your finger for a sheer finish, or alternatively a wet brush for more dramatic colour.
Serums have been something thing that I’ve been adding more to my routine recently, and this one from Madara is to die for. I also had my mum try this to test on older skin. The formula combines a cell repairing bio-complex alongside revitalising birch juice, to plump skin while boosting hydration and radiance. We both absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this product to those looking for a moisturising serum that gives a boosting and lifting effect.
This facemask from Unani has two clever effects, to care for your skin and keep it protected. I’ve used this a few times since I’ve had it and must say its extremely hydrating, which I find quite hard to find from a mask. It’s ideal for sensitive skin or those suffering from dry areas throughout the winter so grab yours now.
This highly pigmentedlipstick is perfect for the months ahead. Although it’s quite bright, I think it’s the perfect shade to take us through to the Spring months. It’s a coral red, with a satin finish, and has great longevity. I’ve found the formula quite hydrating and nourishing as it contains coconut oils. I’ll definitely be keeping this one for Spring, as it’s the most gorgeous shade.
5. Nicka K Shine Airbrush Blending Sponge – Full-Size £6.50
I’m a real sucker for a beauty sponge, as I find them a lot easier to use and give a much better and flawless finish. This sponge in particular is one I’ve been loving as it makes your foundation application super easy, as its clever shape helps to get into all the nooks around your nose and eyes. This is a perfect product for those getting into makeup and wanting to try a great sponge.
I’ve absolutely loved this months box, and for just £10 you can’t go wrong. The boxes content is usually priced at around £50, so it’s a bargain if you’re looking to test more products and find more that you love.
