MAKEUP FAVOURITES / OF ALL TIME

I’ve teamed up with the gorgeous Jess Leeman from the beauty blog, Beautiful Breakable, to discuss our makeup favourites of all time!

Now, I know it can seem impossible to pick out just a few products that are your all time favourites, but all products I chose are ones I simply cannot live without. Each category was surprisingly easy to finalise as these are stand out products. Some of these products are old favourites and some are new out or to my collection, so keep reading to find out what they are!

Although this is only a luxe size sample, it’s lasted me way over a month. This primer is a miracle fix for dull and tired skin, as it makes your skin appear more awake and plump in an instant. Straight after applying, your skin is so much smoother and it makes your foundation apply so flawlessly, as well as making it last all day long with a slight dewy finish. Once I’m out of this product I’m going back for more!
This has been my Holy Grail foundation since its release date, and I haven’t used much else in between. It works wonders for the skin, giving a medium-full coverage and extremely healthy glow. It stays put all day with a primer, and has the most amazing blendable formulation. A must for anyone, its so worth it! The range of colours are incredible, so theres a match for everyone.
This is another product I’ve mentioned in quite a few posts, and is one I cannot live without. Don’t be put off by the name ‘Age Rewind’ as I don’t use it for that use at all! The concealer gives medium to full coverage, nothing too heavy as I wear it day to day. It works so well at covering dark circles, and it stays put all day with powder. I use the shade light as it works as a two in one for under eye brightening!
Too Faced’s Chocolate Soleil Bronzer has made contouring and bronzing possible to do in one. If you’re looking for a fast way to do both then this product is for you. This chocolate scented matte powder gives you an all over glow and natural looking finish. I use this in a hurry and also for fuller makeup, and it works amazing for both. If you are looking for a lighter shade, they also have Milk Chocolate.
I’m sure many of you have heard of this order accutane incredible highlighter from the collaboration that makeup artist, Jaclyn Hill did with Becca Cosmetics. This is the ultimate and most amazing highlighter I’ve ever used! Of course, it’s a champagne shade which makes your high points pop. The pigmentation and longevity of this product is out of this world – anyone that is debating getting it, I would say to you just go for it!!!
It was super hard nailing one palette down and saying, yes that’s the one I could never live without. This palette has been my to go since getting it. I can rely on it for a variety of really gorgeous and effortless looks, and Too Faced shadows are amazing to work with. Each and every shadow blends seamlessly, and the shimmer shades are so pigmented – you totally get your moneys worth. No palette for me at the moment comes close to this! My favourite shades are Peanut Butter, Truffled, Caramel, Bon Bon and Butter Pecan – all to die for!
Although this is a very new brow product and I haven’t had it as long as others I’ve used, I have to say it beats them all. You have everything you need in one product, an arched pencil definer that works quick to fill in your brows, and a spooly to brush them through. It’s quick and easy and makes your brows look fuller and much more defined.

I have to admit, this lip liner is utter perfection. Not only has this lasted me a lifetime, the formula lasts forever. The liner is super creamy and quick to apply, which I find many lip liners can’t master. The shade Liar is a muted brown nude that pairs with almost any pink, brown or nude lipstick or gloss that I apply.
Lipstick – MAC Velvet Teddy

My go to lip product of all time has to be MAC’s Velvet Teddy. Its just the most perfect matte brown nude, which I find goes with most makeup looks. The formulation of some matte lipsticks can be very drying, however this seems to be creamier and longer lasting than most. I would never be able to fault Velvet Teddy, its love!!
What’s the one makeup product that you couldn’t live without?
Thanks for reading,

Megan ?

  • You have some great cruelty free picks in here! (except for L'Oreal, MAC, and Maybelline)…I have been wanting to try Charlotte Tillbury for quite a while but want to try it in person before I make that type of investment….I love TooFaced and that bronzer is a daily go to for me:))

  • This eyeshadow palette is what I need. I love the shades

  • I think I have too many eye palettes, solo pods, and eyeliners….a girl can never have too many, right? I love the items on your list. That chocolate eye palette, though, might make me crave some chocolate. (That would be a cute gift to give a friend as a happy when Aunt Flo comes to visit. Of course, you would have to include real chocolate too.)

  • I have always wanted to try the too faced palettes but they are just so expensive! This is also a great post!

    http://daniellenicoleblogs.blogspot.co.uk/

  • Yes Ellen, I agree. A girl can never ever have too many palettes – I don't think there's such a thing haha! I also think the palette would make a perfect gift, very kind of you 🙂

  • They're worth every penny though as I get so much use out of it! Thank you Danielle 🙂

  • I wish I had a Sephora over in the UK – it would make my life complete haha! Glad you chose the palette as it's gorgeous 🙂

  • I like Champagne Pop, but unfortunately, it's too dark for me! I can only seem to use it in the summer along with bronzer.

  • They're both must haves – I absolutely adore both products and use them everyday. Haha I have one to, the list gets longer and longer! X

  • It's awesome, really helps to cover them up

    Love Hannah xx

  • When did you get interested in makeup? I am certainly never-leave-the-house-without-makeup kind of girl, but now that I have small kids everything has to be on automatic. I have my favorites shipped to me on a schedule. But of course, I'm also always curious what else is out there. Thanks for the recommendations.

  • I'm not surprised as its really good and lasts a very long time! I love ABH, everything I've tried is so good 🙂 X

  • Quite a while ago, before starting my blog. I've worn makeup since a teenager but my love for it has grown and I love trying new things! No problem 🙂

  • that MAC lipstick color is such a classic! I can see why you use it so much its gorgeous

  • I have always wanted to try Wonderglow! All of these are great products, they're always on my makeup wishlist!

  • Oh it's gorgeous isn't it!!

  • I can't live without it now, just about to buy the full product! X

  • Beccah

Nice picks! I wanted to try out CT foundations but unfortunately my local counter don’t do samples and the returns policy here is basically non-existant other than for faulty goods. I love my chocolate bar palettes. The smell alone is lovely, but the shades are really nice and I find they suit my warm skin really nicely.
