One of my favourite products to hoard and cherish are lipsticks. They are forever growing in my collection, and are something I can never hold back from buying. Lipsticks stand are just irresistible aren’t they? Although high-end lipsticks are beautifully packaged and sought after, you can find high quality lipsticks in the drugstore for a quarter of the price. So I thought I’d share with you my favourite lipsticks from the drugstore, which are those I reach for the most and love to recommend to people.
This is the newest to my collection, but that doesn’t stop it being my all time favourite. This matte formula is super creamy and long lasting, although it dries matte it still allows you to move your lips together throughout the day. It’s a beautiful true nude, which is gorgeous with any nude to pink liner. My favourite combination with this is Rimmel’s Lip Liner in Capuccino. RRP is £9, however is on offer very often for £6.
With the brown lip trend being in right now, I thought it was very appropriate to share this lipstick with you. It is a light-medium beige with strong, warm brown tones and a satin finish. It had good color payoff with a creamy consistency and I find it long lasting for a drugstore lipstick, around 3-4 hours. It’s one of my favourite order cheap ventolin brown lipsticks from my collection so I highly recommend you go and grab one if you love brown lips like I do! RRP £6.99
If you’re looking for an everyday wearable lip shade then this is the one. It’s a nude pink satin-matte finish that makes your lip looks fuller with a slight sheen. I apply this with Whirl lip liner from MAC, or No7 lip liner in Nude. RRP $6.00
When I’m not reaching for nudes or pinks, my next option is usually red. For my complexion I prefer dark red shades on me, especially throughout winter or for evening occasions. This wine/deep blue-red is so flattering on many people, and is perfect for making your teeth look super white! The formula dries more velvet than matte, and this helps it stay on for long. RRP £5.49
For a more matte formula, and a little brighter red then this is perfect. With it being a rude matte red, it’s very similar to MAC’s Russian Red lipstick, although just a third of the price. The formula is very creamy and pigmented, so just a little goes a long way. Definitely a winner for spring/summer time to! RRP £5.49
Please let me know in the comments your favourite drugstore lipsticks! Megan ?
