MARCH’S METALLIC MUST HAVES

I really can’t believe I have to justify the fact that it’s April already. Where is this year going? Although it’s really flying by I’ve loved so many new things, and am quite guilty of hoarding makeup throughout the past couple of months. As I was picking out my favourites I realised there was a strong theme going on, which you can see from the title, it is all about the metallic packaging this March – there must be something about it!

A few weeks ago I managed to get my hands on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits, which are now actually both available on Cult Beauty since last week. My favourite of the two has to be the ‘That Glow’ kit, purely for the fact that it’s all about the gold highlight. I’ve found all shades to be very flattering and equally pigmented, my most used being Dripping In Gold, a warm gold-bronze – I just can’t get enough of it when I’m applying it.

Moving onto more face products I have been using the Gwen Stefani blush palette every single day, from her collaboration with Urban Decay. Every shade is wearable and of course amazing quality. I created a look with the products from her range that you can find in my Magic’s In The Makeup post.

It just can’t be a monthly favourites without mentioning lipsticks, as they are my weakness and I purchase too many! The ones I’ve been seeing myself reach for and recommend the most is Charlotte Tilbury’s Matte Revolution lipstick in Very Victoria, a warm nude-brown. Also, one for the other end of the colour spectrum, the shade 714 from the Gwen Stefani x Urban Decayrange, a matte red-orange that is such a must for the Spring.

Something that has made my life super easy this month is Colour Pop’s eye shadow in Lala, a gorgeous warm rose gold with an ultra metallic finish. Hands down, I’ve never use a shadow so pigmented and packed with colour. Within one application the entire eyelid is full with shine and a stunning colour that will stay all day. I’ve loved the new Real Techniques Bold Metal’s Tapered Shadow Brush to blend a warm crease colour in with the Colour Pop shadow, and I’m ready to go.
