*slowly enters highlight heaven*
Hail the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits. I couldn’t resist to purchase both, yes that might be a little excessive, but I just couldn’t resist. I knew that I would be getting my moneys worth, as I own a couple of the ABH illuminators and they are heaven sent. Want to know what I think to both palettes? Lets find out.
First things first, yes they do make you glow from within. They truly make your cheekbones pop with radiance and glow; I can never stop applying more and more when I use them – although they are super pigmented. With just one application you have enough glow to last you through the day, I usually get about 12-14 hours wear from each of the shades.
I can’t say that one palette is better than the other, as the formula is maintained in every shade. They’re all equally pigmented, long lasting and beautiful as one another. However, of course you can choose you pick depending on skin tone.
If you want a warm bronze glow then ‘That Glow’ would be your pick. The shades Bubbly and Dripping In Gold are my personal favourites; they give a warm golden finish that is like a natural sun kissed dewiness. I sometimes add the other two shades underneath for an extra glow.
If you’re after a cooler pearlescent pink or silvery finish then ‘Gleam’ is for you. This palette contains a lot more of the champagne or pink tones, that flatter every skin tone. If you prefer very natural highlights then this kit would most probably be better suited to you.
Just like the Contour palettes from ABH, you can remove the pans if you’d like to use your own magnetic pans. Personally, I prefer the packaging they come in, as they’re travel friendly and I love anything aesthetically pleasing.
They’re both available from Beauty Bay for £39.00. The pans are as big as other single highlighters, so you get what you pay for!
