When pretty new makeup drops I find it quite impossible to resist. The Peachy Keen collection by ColourPop was released just over a month ago, and I just had to have it, along with a few other things. Oops.
What drew me to this collection in particular is the warm-toned neutrals, which is just me all over. I love a good warm orange and brown so this set was perfect. Three of the shadows in the set are ones we have seen before, but say hello to the new shade, Kennedy. It is a gorgeous bright light orange with yellowy undertones and a satin finish. Like all other ColourPop shadows, the formula is oh so creamy and easy to blend and lasts up to a good 10 hours. Kennedy is “the one” when it comes to a warm orange eye look. For the set of the set we have Crimper, a light gold with a metallic finish with the most insane colour pay off. I love this for a pop of wow. The two darker but warmer shades are Cornelious, a medium warm brown, one of my ColourPop favourites for the crease, and Bandit, a super rich red-brown shadow – both a matte finish.
I just couldn’t complete the order without adding another shadow set, because why not. I got the All Nighter set; also released the same date as Peachy Keen, and it has a beautiful line up. Out of the two, this set is definitely the more Winter-appropriate with its deeper gold’s and browns. The first two shades (top line) are metallic and irresistibly pretty. Vega is a cool-toned taupe with tonnes of sparkle, and Smash is a gorgeous beige with a golden glowing sheen. The bottom two is where the Winter vibes peep through, with Mooning a blackened plum with a subtle violet sheen and To-A-T, the perfect mid-toned warm matte brown. Again, such a gorgeous set and super affordable.
Being a huge fan of the ColourPop Ultra Matte’s I decided on the Forever or Never Lip Set with every shade you need for this season. Most in this set I’ve wanted to try out for ages so what better way than to get them all together in one. Liquid lipsticks are as you know a bit of a tough thing to get on with, especially with a super dry finish but I do really get on with these. They are more drying than most others I’ve used but I ensure to use a hydrating balm before and after use. However, don’t let that put you off because they last forever and don’t crack or crumble.
Forever or Never Ultra Matte Lip Set shades: (L-R)
Airplane Mode – matte dirty peach
Bumble – matte warm rose
LAX – matte vampy red
Teeny Tiny – matte deep greyed out plum
Clueless – matte dusty mauve
With each $10 I spent I racked up the offer to get a free Ultra Matte Lipstick for free. I ended up spending just over $40, which is insane for all of these products, so resulted in 4 free Ultra Mattes. Let me show you the shades I picked (left to right)…
Monday – an orange toned nude
Wednesday – a bright fuchsia pink
Thursday – a gorgeous deep rose
Saturday – a vampy dark red
Now one haul is over I’m so tempted to try even more. What ColourPop bits do you recommend?
