THE BEST MAKEUP APPLICATOR?

Beautyblender review

When it comes to getting a flawless base, I think the most important thing is the applicator. There have been so many instances where I’ve tried applying my favourite foundation with a new brush or sponge and it just hasn’t applied in the same way as it does with a Beautyblender. This beauty sponge has been my holy grail for a long time, and there’s even more to play with now, so I want to share them with you.

Although you can use the Beautyblender in many different ways, I prefer to use mine damp as it gives the best results. To do this I don’t mean completely soak the sponge, I simply pop it under running water for a few seconds and then ring out. Having the sponge damp sounds a little daunting and first gave me the impression that my liquid products will slide all over the place, but that’s not the case. It gives the easiest and quickest flawless coverage, and because of its lightweight bounce you can build any desired coverage without it being cakey. Also, when you wet the sponge it grows twice the size so that makeup application is even quicker.

My favourites for the face are the Original purchase doxycycline online Beautyblender in Pink, or the Beautyblender Pro in Black. They both do the same job just different colours, and there are more colours than just these, including red, nude and lilac. For under eye concealer and those hard to get places, the Beautyblender Minis are the best invention ever. They are so tiny but again, grow in size once they are wet. Due to their size it makes it so easy to blend out smaller areas, such as the nose, chin and eyes. They work just the same as the original size but as just so cute and tiny.

These last a lifetime to, especially if you buy the right cleaning kit. I prefer the Solid Cleanser to the liquid, it’s practically a soap that you wipe the sponge over with several times, whilst wetting and then squeezing out the dirt each time. It’s so simple and quick and makes your Beautyblender as good as new. I adore this range and for me, is the best makeup applicator out there. It has so many functions from applying liquid to powder makeup, such as foundation to baking. You can never go wrong with these!

Have you tried a Beautyblender?

Don’t actually own a BB! I keep thinking about it and then I’ll find a cheaper alternative that I find works and forget about it again. Although, so many people say it makes such a difference I am intrigued to see for myself. Those mini ones are adorable. Think it would be worth getting just for the cuteness ha! Love your little leaf dish.

  • I totally agree that beauty blenders are the best for applying foundation! My original beauty blender sadly wound up mouldy (despite cleaning it regularly with the solid cleanser!). I’ve since started using a l’oreal blender and although it does a better job than my brushes, I feel it falls second to the original BeautyBlender. The small ones look perfect too!
