I’m a huge fan of comfortable lipsticks at the moment. Not only are they more hydrating and easy to wear, I find they also appear really flattering. I love many matte lipsticks, especially liquid ones, but as I’m wearing a little fresher makeup for everyday at the minute there’s nothing quite like a comfortable but bold lipstick to go with that.
Burt’s Bees new range boasts 18 new gorgeous shades, from dusky pinks to reds, so there’s something to suit everyone’s needs. The formula is enriched with Beeswax, Moringa Oil and Raspberry Seed Oil, which means they’re super creamy with 8 hours of moisture. My favourite shade from the range is Blush Basin, which I’m wearing in this photo; it’s a beautiful dusky pink with a slight peach touch – my favourite right now. I find it really flattering and think it would look so gorgeous on paler skin tones to.
It’s pointed tip means its super easy to apply without a liner, but if you want a long lasting lip then I’d say to apply a liner underneath. It does give good wear, but as it’s a satin finish it doesn’t last as long as matte finishes. Although it’s a satin finish, the formula is quite pigmented and doesn’t need to be built up. It isn’t the most intense pigmentation, but is really pretty and can be made deeper with any liner to match your shade.
I find them affordable to, and to me it feels like a 2-in-1 product as it hydrates and nourishes your lips at the same time as giving it a bold gorgeous colour. Now, I want to try even more!
Have you tried any shades from the new range?
