MY MAKEUP BAG MUST-HAVES

Once I find a set collection of products for my daily face makeup, I tend to have a set few things I keep in my makeup bag and use everyday and some I rotate around to have a change. Those products I keep in my makeup I literally can’t let go off, some products just too good to let go. As I say, some products I change quite regularly so I can’t really call them must haves, so I haven’t covered every aspect. But, this post is sharing with you the products I believe are my holy grails that I would recommend to everyone. Want to see the goodies?

Starting with base products, as that’s the main chunk of my makeup bag, is the Yves Saint Laurent Blur Primer. Since I got this at the end of last year I haven’t used much else since. It’s the perfect prep product to give you glowy skin and the a smooth base. It’s gel like formula is super hydrating and makes your makeup stay all day long. Although I have oily combination skin, this primer doesn’t make my skin oily, instead it diminishes excess oils and gives your amoxil online price skin a lot of radiance. I pair this with both dewy and matte foundations and it always works, this primer has never faulted me.

For foundation I chop and change depending which finish and coverage I want, so it was hard to choose just one. But, my two favourites are the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation for a full coverage flawless base and the L’Oreal Magique Nude Cushion Foundation for a lightweight, natural and dewy base. The concealer was just too easy to choose, it’s the Tarte Shape Tape – quite possibly the best concealer I’ve ever used. It gives amazing medium to full coverage and if you choose the right shade it brightens and conceals the under eyes so perfectly.

If you love glowy skin then you’re going to love my next picks. For finishing off the base with liquid products I always reach for the Cover FX Enhancer Drops, my favourite shade is Sunlight, which is the most gorgeous golden bronze. Within just a few drops your skin is illuminated to the high heavens. It gives the perfect dewiness for that must have strobe effect. To top this illuminator (yes I do have to go all out for the highlighting) my all time favourite is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminating Powder in So Hollywood, which is a cult favourite for a very good reason. It’s my ultimate golden highlight shade that I always reach for and it never does me wrong.

For warming up the skin and giving it that flush of warmth I always crave I love the GALifornia Blush by Benefit, the brands latest blusher that gives a gorgeous peachy pink flush of colour with a hint of golden shimmer. This pairs so so well with so many looks and compliments so many skin tones. My go to look is golden bronze dewy skin, and this adds to perfect pop of colour to this look in particular.

I’m quite a false lash girl and my favourites are the Ardell Wispies, but for a Mascara either on its own or even over the top of the lashes it has to be Urban Decay’s Perversion. This gives instant length and volume and is the only mascara I feel I only need a few coats with. Even if I don’t curl my lashes before application it lifts them so well and they stay that way until I take it off. It’s like false lashes in a tube, it’s fab!

I simply couldn’t finish this post without mentioning my all time favourite matte liquid lipstick could I? It’s the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick by Kat Von D in Bow N Arrow, the most beautiful neutral brown I think I’ve ever seen. The formula of these liquid lipsticks is like nothing I’ve used before, they dry so comfortably and don’t budge, crumble or crease. It stays put on my lips until I remove it, with the odd top up here and there if I’m out all day, and doesn’t dry my lips out once I’ve taken it off. It’s the perfect liquid lipstick for me. I love it so much that I pair it with almost any makeup look I do!

  • Your photos are just absolutely perfect Megan. I can’t even! The Tarte Shape Tape concealer is on my list of things to try next actually. For me, the products I’m loyal too are a little less posh… I couldn’t cope without my Rimmel setting powder, my HD Beauty brow pencil and my Gerard Cosmetics Setting Spray. The rest of my makeup I swap around quite a lot
