Pore minimizing makeup is something I live for, as I suffer with quite open and large pores. I ensure I use skincare products that will help minimise them, but I find it so important to use pore-minimizing makeup to as I find it does the job a bit better. Benefit’s pore minimizing range is one of the most popular out there for this solution, and they’ve recently added a newbie to the pack. Say hello to the new Porefessional: Pore Minimizing Makeup*, your new friend to help your pores stay at bay. With this 4th addition to the range, you can now rescue your pores before makeup application or even throughout the day when you’re on the go. Let me share with you the range in try fabulous line up, which you can use as you please or all together in a step by step way.
Firstly, if you want to or feel like you need a mattifying prep product, before applying your makeup, I would suggest Benefit’s Matte Rescue*. This product is a super mattifying gel that is super lightweight and fast working. I find this product is my hero on the days I really need that bit of extra help as it blurs and minimizses all of the excess oil on my face. This is a water based gel that instantly minimizes the appearance of pores leaving your with a smooth poreless surface ready for makeup application. As the formula is water based it means you only need a small amount to cover the entire face, and it also sinks in very quickly. I use this even on makeup free days as the last step in my skincare to mattify and keep my oil levels at bay, and it also makes you appear radiant and perks up your skin.
Now, it’s time to prime and for this you can use their iconic Porefessional Primer*, the original Porefessional product. I’ve used this for ages now and is my favourite primer for mattifying. It’s a balm like texture, a little heavier than the Matte Rescue, but dries super fast. I really enjoy the silky translucent formula as it makes my skin feel hydrated and ensures my face stays put all day as its oil free. I sometimes buy ventolin inhaler spray only use this in my T-zone, which is where my pores are most of a problem, and it really helps smooth my pores. You can use this little guy under or over makeup; I always use it under as it’s the next product in the line up that I’m loving for midday pore minimizing help.
Introducing the new Pore Minimizing Makeup* solution, my new little favourite for touch ups throughout the day. This handy little product is a pore blurrer that you can apply before your makeup application or after for pore blurring and touch ups. It’s formula is similar to a BB cream as it’s light but gives a bit of coverage. This comes in 5 POREfect shades to suit light to deep skin tones. It comes with its own pore-blurring sponge that slots into the bottom of the tube, which I find very handy and is perfect to take on the go with you. You squeeze some product onto your hand and pick up then pat on with the sponge provided. It’s so easy and quick todo on the go, it comes with me everywhere now. I’m in shade 2 which is the perfect match. The product doesn’t really add much colour, it just works to blur your pores. Benefit really do have their packaging down to a T, and this handy sponge in the bottom means you don’t have to carry a brush or sponge around with you.
Talking of handy packaging, the next product also comes with its own brush and powder dispensing pot. It’s the Agent Zero Shine*, which is my holy grail touch up powder and has been for years. This powder is the best for shine control, within one sweep of the product your back to matte and it stays that way for hours. You tap a small amount of powder into the lid, unscrew the brush from the bottom of the tube and swirl it around before applying to your oily areas. This powder translates as translucent on the face so it doesn’t change your makeup, just helps mattify.
