As a beauty lover, I do love anything from high end to drugstore makeup. If it works it works, and if it’s a bargain then its even more of a winner right?! I’m not a makeup snob in the slightest but to the honest, before trying the Primark makeup range I did really doubt it. I have no idea why, but after trying their Strobing Highlighter Cream, they really proved me wrong.
I picked this highlighter up in the shade Pearl. It’s a little lighter than I would usually go, but I had in mind that I’d love to use this on my bare skin to. It’s a really pretty opal champagne shade with an iridescent sheen to it. I love this particularly for days I’m wearing more natural makeup as it adds tonnes of dewiness that appears quite natural.
The formula quite surprised me as I thought it would be glittery instead of light and dewy, but it gives such a gorgeous glow. I’m not one for glittery highlights and this is exactly what I like when it comes to liquid highlighters. Its super lightweight and creamy, you don’t need much of this either to get an intense glow. A pea size amount does both cheeks for me and I like to apply it with a damp priligy cheap price Beautyblender. I apply the product to my hand and then tap and blend into the desired area with the sponge. Doing it this way gives a really natural dewy finish. If you don’t have a sponge, using your fingertip will give the same effect.
I usually apply this to my cheekbones and cupids bow to make those areas pop. Sometimes I apply this alone or as a base for a powder highlight. Using this as a base for your powder highlight really makes your glow more intense and I’m all for that.
I managed to pick this up for just £2! In comparison to more high-end highlights, this really does perform well and if you’re a newbie to liquid highlighters then I’d recommend to start of with this one. It comes in a variety of shades and in my opinion the formula and performance isn’t far off others I have. For the price I would definitely pick up another shade as they had a few. One shade was too pink for me but the bronze shade I think would look amazing on holiday and even as a body highlight.
Have you tried any bits from the Primark beauty range?
