I hate to admit it, but I’m a girl who is very lazy with their hair. For over 3 years now I’ve worn my hair natural and saying goodbye to my straighteners was one of the hardest but best things I did for my hair. Having thick wavy/curly hair meant that styling it with straighteners took forever to, so getting rid of them has saved me a lot of time when I get ready and I’m forever thankful for that.
For me, since not using straighteners it has meant that I can pretty much wash my hair and leave it to dry. Although I don’t use tonnes of pre and post styling products, I do like to give my hair a treat when it comes to washing it. Lately, I’ve been really into hair masks and two I’ve been using are from Redken*. I feel hair masks really do something to your hair that no other product can. Since using them more often (as I must admit I never used too muc), my hair has felt so nourished and free from dryness.
Redken have two Megamasks, both of which do very different jobs. If you’re looking for deep nourishment that will leave your hair hydrated and shiny then the All Soft mask is what I would recommend. This one is actually my favourite as it leaves my hair free and bouncy and gives my hair unbelievable shine, which is what I lack quite cheap doxycycline regularly. After using this my hair feels so healthy and full of life and leaves you with that ‘fresh from the salon’ feel, which is something I don’t feel very often.
The second mask is for those who feel they need to strengthen their hair. The Extreme Megamask combines two formulas that work to create happy resilient locks. Its formula works to provide deep and intense condition that leaves you with super strong hair and it seriously makes your hair feel well cared for. I do love this mask but my hair is fairly coarse and I feel this would work wonders on finer hair.
Both of the hair masks have extenders in them which means the treatments will last you up to three washes. I love this as I’m not one to use conditioning treatments on my hair after every wash, as I said I am quite lazy when it comes to my everyday hair. These feel and smell so luxurious, so if you love that salon feel to then you’ll love these.
What I love most about these masks is that they are quick and easy to use. You leave them on freshly washed towel dried hair for 3-5 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Treatments like these that I’ve used in the past generally require for you to wear them for 20+ minutes, however these do the job in just a few – incredible!
