Hello you lovely lot. How are we all?

Gosh it seems a heck of a long time since I wrote up a beauty review/round up post. I’m so glad I’m making a bit of a comeback with some autumnal beauty picks, as these are my favourite to read, as well as write. I shan’t waffle on, I’ll let you in on the good stuff.

When a new season arrives I can’t help but change up my beauty routine. Apart from it being a habit, it feels nice to switch up your makeup bag and bring back old faves and even find some newbies.

This autumn it’s all about that beautiful warm glow (when I can be half-assed to do more makeup this just a lick of mascara) and a hydrated base. Nothing beats finishing off your base with a warm blush shade and to be honest, my makeup never feels complete until I’ve done so. Blush is a must for the A/W months, there’s nothing quite like lil rosy cheeks to make you look and feel even more snug. So, here are my favourites for the autumnal months ahead…

If you’re one for a budget beauty steal then there are two I highly recommend. Not only are they affordable, I find them just as amazing as the higher end products. First up is my favourite out of the two, Essence’s Silky Touch Blush in Indian Summer, the most perfect muted blush colour for the autumn months. In the pan it doesn’t look nothing special but on the skin is a whole other story. It’s a gorgeous warm peach shade with brownish undertones with a slight sheen to it, but no glitter – hurrah. I find many drugstore blushes contain a hell of a lot of glitter but this one has none whatsoever. The formula is so so creamy, long lasting and a real bargain for just £1. Yes, you did read that right!

For something a little more on the rosy side we have the Milani Powder Blush in Romantic Rose. This shade kinda speaks for itself I think. When applied to the skin it turns into a true English rose colour, which I find really flattering and gives you that ‘I’m a little bit flushed at how cold it is how here’ look, if ya get what I mean.

This post had to bring back a very old favourite of mine as it’s one I bring back out every year without fail. It’s the MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul (aka my fave, my go to and my blush best friend). I’m pretty sure I spoke about this quite a bit last year on here but I’m bringing it back – its that good. I purchased this on a whim as I found it on offer online and it turned out to be a very good sale purchase. The shade is an easy to wear peachy bronze blush and is just amazing if you love the trending peach toned makeup. This is a blush that would look incredible on many skin tones.

If you’re into your bronzed glowing skin then my biggest babe from my beauty cupboard for this is the Nars Blush in Zen. I’ve had this blush for a very long time, I actually think it was my first expensive blush purchase, and it sure didn’t disappoint. It follows the brands blush expectations, as its very finely milled to leave your skin looking like skin, long lasting and is very easy to blend. The shade almost looks like a bronzer but it has slight dusky rose undertones when applied to the skin, but ever so slight. It’s just the perfect blush if you want to spice up an all bronzy look.

Last but by no means least is a newbie to my stash, the Fenty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick in Ridiic. This blush in the stick screams bright and bold, which is typically your go to blush in the summer, however it transfers very different on the skin depending on how you apply it. When I saw this at the Fenty Beauty preview I was a bit terrified of the it but once I watched it apply to someone’s face I was in love. Its so lightweight and creamy and blends away like no other cream blush I’ve seen before. It looks so natural on the skin and leaves an orange flushed glow, perfect for autumn. Orange and autumn just go hand-in-hand, don’t they? This is a go to on the minimal makeup days, which are happening a lot at the moment.

What are your favourite blush picks for Autumn?

If like me you’re sad to say goodbye to summer and not you’re ready to leave the glow behind, I’ve got your back. Well, Iconic London have got your back.

Fresh summer makeup is for sure one of my favourite things. Some days I’d simply wear highlighter and mascara and leave it at that. Of all the base products I’d have to say that highlighting is my favourite part and is one of the steps I could never miss out.

Liquid highlighter drops used to terrify me, I have to admit. The beauty gurus of YouTube and Instagram made them look so easy and effortless to use and I never thought I’d get the same finish. But, I was so wrong.

Iconic London’s Limited Edition Illuminator Drops* have been my saviour this summer and will sure be staying right by my side throughout the colder months to.

On a regular basis throughout the summer, I’d just pop these drops on top of a primer across the high points of my face and that would be my face makeup done. My favourite places to use these are my cheekbones, brow bone and cupids bow. I sometimes use them on my collarbones if I’m going full glam because quite frankly, why the heck not!

Full glam or minimal, highlighter always makes an appearance.

Whether you’re using the drops with minimal makeup or not, you only need just a few drops to get that highly pigmented popping glow. A little really goes a long way with these. It would be easy to get carried purchase accutane online away but you could turn into a beaming sunshine (not that I’d complain).

Not only can you use this on its own to get a super highlighted glow, you can use this in your foundation, primer and moisturiser. I love the glowiest of all glows so I tend to use this by itself. My favourite way to apply it is straight from the pipet applicator to the high points on my face. Then, I blend the product in a little with my fingertip before blending in smoothly with my Beautyblender.

The pipet applicator is actually one of the things about the product that I love. It makes application so quick and easy, and it also helps control the amount you apply. It feels a bit scary at first putting it up to your face but when you’ve done it once, its so simple and really makes highlighting a breeze.

I’m so glad this little gem has made its way into my life so I don’t have to wave goodbye to the summer glow too soon, if ever.

Iconic London have 3 shades of the illuminator, mine is in original, which is a champagne toned golden shine. The other two shades are for either lighter or deep skin tones. You can shop the range here.

What is your favourite illuminator for a glow?

Get A Glow In The Fall

I don’t know about you but I really miss the sunshine for one thing, having glowing skin and at times, a good tan. Now the Autumn is here I’m finding that my skin is looking a little duller than usually after applying my makeup, and I knew a good old bronzer could fix that.

Dusty Girls Natural Mineral Bronzer in Sunshine* not only helps my skin glow, it gives it a warmth that I’ve never experienced before. The pigmented powder contains the slightest shimmer that isn’t visible but helps with that all over glow. With ‘edible’ ingredients such as Macadamia Oil and Jojoba Oil, this bronzer smells good enough to eat! These ingredients are actually used to ensure a smooth and effortless application, as that’s what it gives. I find this is super long lasting, and as its highly pigmented you only need a small amount of product, so this is really worth the money.

I was actually really surprised to use this and not have to contour. The shade is just buy priligy online cheap right for applying to your cheekbones and then blending upwards. To build colour and more of a glow, its best to apply in light layers as too much bronzer on the brush wouldn’t work as well, as the product is so pigmented.

Dusty Girls Makeup by Moogoo was inspired by the countryside of course, and how the countryside gives your skin a flawless glow after spending time outside. This mineral makeup and skincare range provides a natural, healthy and vegan-friendly alternative to your skin and body. So, you may ask, is this product suitable for me? Absolutely. The entire range is suitable to all skin types and ages, and will enhance your features and natural beauty.

I absolutely love the fact that I can achieve a natural glow to makeup in the autumn time, as I find bronzers quite hard to nail. But this one is just perfect.
