Are you with me when I say it can’t be a good day without good brows?

Whether I’m wearing makeup or not, I like to tame my brows and make a bit of effort with them. Even if it’s a tiny bit of pencil or brow gel I think looking after your brows is super important. They do shape your face after all.

A good brow day is such a good feeling and I like to make them happen as often as possible. You feel me?

Filling in your brows doesn’t have to be a difficult job either. I used to take ages trying to get the right shape and colour but with the right products it only needs to take minutes, if that.

My obsession for quite over a year now has been the Benefit Brow range. They came out with a whole new line of products last summer and I’ve been using nothing much but them since. I’ve swapped and changed amongst the different bits they have and to be honest, it’s proven difficult to pick a favourite.

If you’re already a fan of the range and want to know all about Benefit’s brand new brow product then keep reading… it’s coming and oh-so exciting!

For a quick and easy effortless fill I love the Precisely, My Brow Eyebrow Pencil. This ultra-thin brow pencil comes in 6 different shades to suit all and in my opinion, does the best job at giving natural full looking brows. With its fine twist up non-sharpen tip you simply draw and mimic brow hairs in small strokes until you feel they’re full enough. It comes with a built-in spoolie attached to one end that I like to use to tame them before and brush through after for an even more natural finish.

If I’m looking to get a more defined and fuller brow (more for those full face makeup days) I like to use a mix of the ka-BROW! Eyebrow Cream-Gel Colour and the 3D BROWtones Eyebrow Enhancer. The ka-BROW! is a product I know many love but I was always a bit terrified of it as I’m a brow pencil/powder kinda gal. However, after the first use I was so impressed I’ve stuck to it. It’s a lot lighter weight than I expected and you can achieve really natural brows if you use it with a light hand. If you like a fuller brow then you can easily build this product up. It comes with its own built in brow buy ventolin no rx brush that is so handy for travelling with and the brush is small and slanted so its super easy to sculpt out defined brows. I tend to apply the product from the middle to end of my brow and disperse the leftover in the front to leave them more natural. This is long lasting and doesn’t budge all day long! Again this comes in 6 shades.

The 3D BROWtones Eyebrow Enhancer is a subtle brow highlighter, not for the brow bone though, this one is for the hairs. This brush on gel subtly highlights the brow hairs, to make the brows appear softer and fuller. Like their other products, this is waterproof so it’s gon’ last you all day. Don’t worry, this doesn’t leave you with shimmery eyebrows, it gives them a lift and adds more dimension. This product comes in 2 shades for light-medium or medium-deep brows.

*Drum roll please*. Introducing the brand new Benefit Brow product… the Foolproof Brow Powder. If you’re the kinda person to love full and fluffy but natural brows like me, then you’re going to love this.

Not only does the all-new Foolproof Brow Powder make filling your brows in, well, foolproof, it really does transform your brows.

This clever little powder gives you two shades in one kit to help you achieve the light to dark brow look, which mimics the natural gradient your natural brows have. You apply the lightest shade to the front and gradually get darker towards the end with the deeper shade.

I find the product feels velvety smooth and glides onto the brows so easily. If you have any gaps or sparse brows this powder fills it in with no fuss. This lives up to the rest of the ranges longevity expectation as I find this lasts all day and doesn’t budge with the trusty Gimme Brow on top.

The kit comes with its own brow sponge and spoolie, however I also like to use my own slanted brow brush. The sponge makes filling in super quick and easy but a thin slanted brush helps you achieve more definition, and I also use this to fill in the front to get that natural fluffy brow.

You can shop these Benefit Brow products with the rest of the range in-store or online (here) at Debenhams.

What brow is your kinda brow?

Being a huge skincare fanatic I always love to change up my seasonal skincare. The past few months I’ve noticed myself indulging in so many bits, and I feel my skin has been in the best condition it’s been in a long time. In the spring I tend to stick to hydrating products that will give me a surge of moisture and brighten my complexion. I think of skincare as a little treat everyday and each season I sometimes bring out old favourites or introduce new products, and everything I’m using for spring skincare is below.

The mornings and evenings consist of pretty much the same skincare but usually I use more in the mornings. This is usually because my skin feels at its dullest in the mornings and I like to exfoliate in the mornings. To start the day I take the Benefit Refined Finish Facial Polish, a new favourite of mine and one I’ve been using pretty much everyday. It’s a gentle exfoliator that diminishes blemishes and excess oil and leaves your skin feeling super cleansed and smooth. It always ensure a smooth base for makeup. I then go on to using my eye cream, which is the Nip+Fab No Needle Fix Eye*, a lightweight creamy product that is cooling as well as hydrating. I sometimes suffer with puffy eyes and this gets rid of that whilst helping my dark circles. It’s an all rounder product that does a bit of everything and is super affordable. Then on to a new product that came in this months Birchbox, which I will be buying a full size product of as I love it! It’s the Balance Me Instant Lift Primer, which is an instant skin refining treatment that works to diminish the appearance of pores and blemishes. I like to use this under my moisturiser so it can work it’s magic on those large pores before I apply anything else. It works as a great makeup primer to.

Next is my morning moisturiser, the Origins GinZing, which is an old favourite. I love this for an instant boost of moisture and radiance. Its really hydrating and gives the perfect dewy base for makeup. I finish the morning skincare with the Pixi buy generic ventolin online Glow Mist, an illuminating spray on potion. This product is great before makeup, or even better on makeup free days as it wakes up your skin and leaves it plump and glowing for the rest of the day. I also love the Mario Badescu Facial Spray, for days I’m feeling a little dewy and just need a wake me up.

For the evenings, my makeup remover of choice is the Garnier Micellar Water, an old favourite that I’ve used for a very long time. I’ve been testing a new makeup remover tool that you can read about here. The Garnier water is so affordable and removes all of your makeup just as well as high end products. I find it so easy to use and does an incredible job every time. Then, I use the Pixi Glow Tonic as my exfoliator/toner, as it’s a 2-in-1 product that works to gentle exfoliate with glycolic acid and brighten your complexion. I use the same eye cream and skip the Balance Me Primer, as that product is best for makeup days.

For moisturiser I prefer to use one a bit heavier to give my skin the care it needs. For this I’ve been loving the Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus*, a super hydrating and nourishing moisturiser that’s thicker so I like to lava it on a bit more before bed so I wake up with fresh and radiant skin. After the moisturiser I use the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist*, a lightweight spray you pat into the skin for an added boost of hydration – you can tell I’m all about the hydration can’t you! You can read about both of the new Jurlique products here. I prefer to use these in the evening as I find the formula and scent so calming. Once or twice a week when I feel my skin needs it, I use the Skin Chemists London Rose Quartz Youth Facial Oil*, a lightweight oil/serum that sinks into the skin and gives it all the goodness it needs. I leave this to work overnight to give my skin all the vitamins it needs. This stuff is super nourishing.

What skincare steps do you change up for the spring?

Megan ?

A step in my skincare that I recently noticed I was lacking in was exfoliation. For some reason during the beginning few weeks of 2017, I was noticing some dryness on my face, probably due to the colder weather, so I stepped back from harsh exfoliators. I recently discovered the Benefit Refined Finish Facial Polish, and have fallen back in love with exfoliation again.

I typically have combination-oily skin, so dry patches really started to worry me, as skincare isn’t the easiest of things to tackle. However, after discovering this face polish my skin has gone back to what it was and I couldn’t be happier. As well as getting rid of the problem, it’s also benefited my skin in so many different ways. I sometimes suffer with random areas of texture and blemishes, which has now cleared up and after using this my skin feels super smooth and healthy.

The formula is super refined to give a gentle cheap doxycycline no script exfoliation and polish to reveal the skins natural radiant complexion. I’ve never used an exfoliator quite to gentle, and I really love to use this in the morning, as it doesn’t make your face red like some scrubs can. This also gives the perfect base before makeup, as your skin is clear of any excess oils and baby bum smooth. It contains natural clay and seaweed extract rich in minerals, nutrients and sugars that are known to purify the skin and diminish any dullness and ‘annoying bits’. As the formula is so gentle, you can use this daily, as I said I tend to use it in a morning and this product has really helped me get back into exfoliation again. The scrubs with intense exfoliation really put me off, but this is the complete opposite.

Have you tried any bits from Benefit’s skincare range that you would recommend?

The nights are lighter and the sun is starting to make an ever so slight appearance, which means one thing, Spring days are on their way. Spring makeup is sometimes one of the prettiest of all the seasons, as it means all the super cute shades come out and more minimal makeup makes a come back. Blushers are something I love to experiment with more in Spring than any other time of the year, simply because there are so many that suit this season. Want to see my favourites?

If you’re one for a subtle peachy flush, MAC’s Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul is my go to. This is one I like to wear with gold toned makeup and I think it compliments it really well. I got this product a very long time ago and is still one I use a lot today, which just says how good it is. MAC Mineralize products never disappoint me, I really want to try some more of these. I’ve never seen one quite like this shade.

My current favourite is the latest release by Benefit, the GALifornia blush, and everyday I use it I just dream of being on holiday. Spring time gets me so excited for the coming warmer months, and this blush is doing just the same. Its gorgeous mix of pink and gold gives the most stunning flush of colour to the cheeks. This compliments so many makeup looks, and gives a really order ventolin inhaler online nice rosy pop as well as a little bit of shimmer, which I think works really well for the brighter days. I have a full blog post on this little beaut here.

For something a little more affordable but works just like a mid to high end product, is the Milani Powder Blush, and my favourite shade for the coming season is Romantic Rose, the perfect pop of pink. This delicate product is pretty in the compact, but even prettier on the face. It’s a matte pink, not too intense and gives a gorgeous natural radiance. It’s the perfect for Spring, and looks so gorgeous over foundation without any bronzer for a flattering natural pop of colour. Also, unlike other drugstore blushes I’ve used, a little goes a long way with this product.

If you like an all-matte blush, the Rodial Blush range would be your choice out of this Spring Blush Edit. My favourite shade is South Beach, which isn’t a colour I would normally go for. It’s a light pink, which I thought wouldn’t agree with my skin tone, but I was so wrong. When applied to the face it somehow transforms into a really pretty pop of radiance and isn’t so light. I think this shade in particular from the range would look incredible on paler skin tones, the formula is super finely milled and so natural.

Do you have any blush picks for the coming Spring weeks?

Galifornia Blush by Benefit

There’s always a first time for everything, and this little beauty from Benefit is the first blush I’ve tried from the range. Seriously, where have I been?! The latest release by Benefit is this adorable little pink blush, GALifornia. If you ask me, this is the coolest blush name ever.

The blushes summer vibes is totally getting me excited for a bit of sunshine, especially the packaging that is inspired by California surfer girls. I love the box packaging to, just the same as their much-loved Hoola Bronzer.

As for the blush itself, it’s the most beautiful sunny golden pink shade. It blends a summery pink with shimmering gold flecks, which captures the Californian sunshine dream in a cute little box. On the skin this gives a gorgeous radiance and flush of colour. Its buildable to, but I like to wear this subtly to warm up my skin, but I’ll for sure generic amoxil amoxicillin give this the whole whammy when I’ve got my tan on this summer. This shade would be beautiful on all skin tones due do the pink shade being really delicate and peachy.

What I love about Benefit products is that they cover everything, as the blush also comes with a round mirror in the box and small brush so you can apply on the go. Or, if you forget a brush when you’re travelling (which I do a lot), you always got one there for back up. The brush is super soft and luxurious and diffuses the blush perfectly. I can’t wait to whip this out when the summer finally arrives, and will also be a perfect pick for holiday season!

Available now online and at Boots.

What blush do you love for a summer feel?

When it comes to getting a glow, I do more often than not like going all out. Liquid highlighters used to terrify me, I couldn’t imagine taking time doing your whole face and then messing up. Thankfully, I’ve never had that problem. I sometimes used liquid highlighters alone or top them up with a powder; nonetheless they are my favourite for a more natural glow.

Powder highlighters can sometimes sit on the skin and become too powdery, or they don’t quite last long enough. I find liquid highlighters can appear more natural but beaming if you use them right, and you can use them multiple ways. My favourites are to blend on the high points after applying the rest of your makeup; I tend to do this with a beauty blender. Or, I use it under or with my foundation for a healthy glow. Let me share with you my absolute favourites.

Liquid Highlighter Drugstore Dupe

If you’re more about a glowy base rather than using a highlighter, I would suggest two products to you, one affordable and one more luxury. First is the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer, this is a product I’ve had in my makeup stash for a very long time and still go back to it quite often. This is a fluid champagne shade primer, it doesn’t add colour to your skin but gives the most gorgeous radiant glow. I apply this all over, but if you suffer with really oily skin then I’d apply it only to the less oily areas. You can also mix this in with your foundation. For a primer that will blur your imperfections but at the same time give you all over radiance, the Yves Saint Laurent Touché buy priligy online Eclat Blur Primer is the one. This gel like formula works to blur your pores whilst adding a natural ‘lit-from-within’ glow – this is an everyday favourite of mine and isn’t quite as dewy as the L’Oreal one, but both are just as moisturising.

An old favourite of mine is Benefit’s High Beam, one that most beauty lovers will know of. This is a liquid glowing pink highlighter, which is quite opalescent on the skin and gives a gorgeous glow. I apply this with a beauty blender to the high points of my face, and you can really build this for an intense highlight. If you like to build with powder you can do so to. Recently, I discovered a very similar to dupe to this, both in formula, performativity and colour. It’s the Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid. Again, this is a pink liquid highlighter that I apply the same way; it gives the same coverage and blendability, and is just a fraction of the price. So, if you’re new to liquid highlighters and don’t want to fork out a fortune, this is an amazing alternative to the Benefit liquid highlighters.

A product that I’ve had my eye on forever and finally recently picked up is the Cover FX Drops, which I heard the most amazing things about. It really didn’t disappoint. I picked up the shade Sunlight, the perfect golden bronze shade. I love this one most as it’s a multi-tasker, its perfect to use with your foundation or on top. This is the one for an ultimate ‘Instagram glow’ as it gives the most flawless beaming highlight that I just can’t get enough of.

Have you tried any liquid highlighters?
