Fresh face beauty is something I’ve seriously grown to love.

Yes, minimal makeup is the ‘lazy route’ without a doubt but I also love the feel of it, the fresher more glowy skin and also finding new products for it.

I used to go all out or nothing everyday. I found it impossible to just pop on some concealer, a lick of mascara and lip balm and head out the door. Yep, every morning I’d do an entire full base, winged eyeliner and matte lipstick without fail. In the end I got really bored of it and found a more suitable makeup look that I feel good in and I’m carrying it through to winter with me to make sure I don’t fall back into my old habits.

If like me you would rather a quick and easy routine in the morning and to leave the house feeling fresher faced and ready for the day, I hope you can find some goodies to try out in my winter makeup routine.

I’ll now cut the waffling and get right into it shall I?

My new and updated routine contains very few products in comparison to what I was using, and here are my current favourites…

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Primer; This is an absolute must have for dehydrated winter skin. Not only does this primer prep your face for the entire day/night, it also blur blemishes and adds an instant surge of moisturise that lasts all day. A pea-sized amount of this is all you need and you’re good to go!

I skip the foundation part so feel free to add whichever is your preference. I feel primer and concealer is all anyone needs for a fresher face – and lets face it, the winter chill does wonders for your skin.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer; This lil gem is my go to for covering blemishes and hiding those god-awful panda eyes. I dab a small amount onto my ring fingers, warm it up by tapping them together a few times and dab onto the areas that need concealing. Quick, easy and effective so you can’t go wrong. This range of concealers from Urban Decay also comes in various shades for various issues such as redness and fatigue.

MAC Give Me Sun; A bronzer I use all year round to give me the sun kissed glow I desire. This warm toned bronzer is one I use all over the face, more so on the forehead and cheekbones to add some colour into my skin.

A big fluffy brush is most effective to apply this with!

Cover FX Enhancer Drops; These highlighting drops are something I can’t do my makeup without. As I like to use an equal mix of powder and liquid products I find a liquid highlighter sits so well with that glowing winter skin look. These drops are so pigmented you need to smallest amount possible and stay put whatever the weather.

Or, I either use Benefit’s GALifornia or Fenty Beauty Shimmer Skin Stix in Ridiic.

Benefit Brows; I like to mix up my brow routine so this isn’t the same everyday I have to admit. If my brows have been threaded and tinted I’ll stick to my trusty old Gimme Brow to keep them in place. Or, if they need some TLC I’ll use Benefit’s Precisely, My Brow Pencil to add some definition.

Urban Decay’s Naked Heat Palette; This warm toned palette is all I’ve been using for the past couple of months, I seriously can’t let it go. Its warm oranges and burnt shimmers are all I need to create all the warm looks I love. Can’t go wrong really!

I have a couple of mascara faves and most days I like to mix two…

IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara; This is one I rely on for volume and length. This is a jet-black mascara to add the most amazing definition to your lashes.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara; Then, I go in with this. I usually use this as my last coat to add more length and also comes with a great wand for the bottom lashes. If I add to choose just one it would be this.

Make Up For Ever Mist and Fix; This setting spray is my new favourite and I simply can’t finish my makeup without it. I find it locks everything, hydrates my skin and is also one I use to refresh my skin if it needs it throughout the day. This is a very handbag friendly size to, which is a bonus.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb; I wear this gloss all day every day, I’m hooked. This is a gloss that doesn’t give you that icky sticky feeling and adds a stunning bronze effect to your lips, which I think is so perfect for the Christmas season.

There we have it, my winter makeup routine. It might seem a few fair products but it only takes 15 minutes max and leaves my skin still looking like skin and lasts me for the entire day, with the occasional lip gloss top up.

What are your winter beauty favourites?

There’s nothing that excites a beauty lover more than a new range releasing that looks incredible, right?

The past few months there hadn’t been that many new releases that excited me, I’m not going to lie. A few products here and there caught my eye and gave me that warm feeling inside, but I hadn’t had that excitement in a long time… until Rihanna announced the Fenty Beauty range.

A few weeks back the Fenty Beauty site launched with just a black loading screen and from there the date, 9th September 2017 was set to be the launch of her beauty range. Of course, I couldn’t contain my excitement and counted down the days until its release.

At the end of last week there was only a short time to go until the release of the Fenty range at Harvey Nichols across the UK, in-store and online. It was finally only a short countdown until I could see the products in all their glory and then an unexpected (and very exciting) turn of events happened.

I was invited to the Fenty Beauty preview launch at Harvey Nichols!

On Friday morning I arrived in the Knightsbridge store for 7am to preview the range and try out some bits. A very early start I know, but for a beauty range like this, it had to be done.

Rihanna announced this and for the beautysphere, it was one of the biggest launches in a long time. She created the makeup range “so that women everywhere would be included”, and she sure sticks by that word as she has delivered 40 foundation shades that are universal.

The foundation comes in 4 shade categories, light, medium, tan and dark so there is something for everyone. Its formula claims to give a soft-matte finish that has easy to build coverage.

If its anything like the soft-matte primer on the skin, it will be soft and also hydrating, which I didn’t expect from a mattifying formula.

Like the foundation, the Match Stix Matte Skinsticks come in an amazing array of shades, with 20 to choose from. These are more for contouring, concealing, highlighting and correcting. Again these come in 4 shade categories for light, medium, tan and dark skin tones. Instead of the typical cream stick formula, these are more of a balmy texture and this makes them super easy to blend. These are £21.00.

Then, buy ventolin inhaler uk there are shimmer versions of the Skinsticks, also retailing for £21.00, and are designed for highlighting or adding some colour into your cheeks. Like the Matte Skinsticks, these are balmy in texture and easy to blend. The highlighting shades had me drooling straight away, and there’s everything from light opal shades to golden hues. The blush shades had me a little distant at first with all of the bright shades, but after swatching and blending out I’m in love. Even the bright orange hues blend out seamlessly and I love the finish of these.

My most favourite face product probably has to be the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Duo’s. With these there are 6 compacts, 4 duos and 2 singles, all of which are just so unique and beautiful.

Quite simply, I’ve never tried a formula quite like these. From the lightest swatch with a finger, you pick up so much product and it blends out like a dream. These are so pigmented but are so finely milled they almost feel quite creamy and they leave the most gorgeous glowing finish.

These highlighters cater for light to dark skin tones, my favourite and most suited duo being Mean Money/Hustla Baby – two champagne gold tones. With or without foundation on, this highlight is popping.

Everyone is going mad for Trophy Wife, the shimmering gold shade that I must try as soon as poss.

Alongside that, there has been many other gorgeous products released including blotting and brush tools and the most insane lipgloss ever. I mean it, I can’t get enough of it already.

The tools include face brushes and a nude beauty sponge, which are so soft they feel like little clouds. As well as regular brushes, the range has brought out portable brushes that you can wind up and down for hygiene and are the perfect size to pop into your handbag. The tools retail from £13.00.

I got to try a few bits, which I will be reviewing very soon so stay tuned!

You can shop it here for the UK, and here for the US.

Have you seen any bits you love in the Fenty Beauty range?

Beautyblender review

When it comes to getting a flawless base, I think the most important thing is the applicator. There have been so many instances where I’ve tried applying my favourite foundation with a new brush or sponge and it just hasn’t applied in the same way as it does with a Beautyblender. This beauty sponge has been my holy grail for a long time, and there’s even more to play with now, so I want to share them with you.

Although you can use the Beautyblender in many different ways, I prefer to use mine damp as it gives the best results. To do this I don’t mean completely soak the sponge, I simply pop it under running water for a few seconds and then ring out. Having the sponge damp sounds a little daunting and first gave me the impression that my liquid products will slide all over the place, but that’s not the case. It gives the easiest and quickest flawless coverage, and because of its lightweight bounce you can build any desired coverage without it being cakey. Also, when you wet the sponge it grows twice the size so that makeup application is even quicker.

My favourites for the face are the Original purchase doxycycline online Beautyblender in Pink, or the Beautyblender Pro in Black. They both do the same job just different colours, and there are more colours than just these, including red, nude and lilac. For under eye concealer and those hard to get places, the Beautyblender Minis are the best invention ever. They are so tiny but again, grow in size once they are wet. Due to their size it makes it so easy to blend out smaller areas, such as the nose, chin and eyes. They work just the same as the original size but as just so cute and tiny.

These last a lifetime to, especially if you buy the right cleaning kit. I prefer the Solid Cleanser to the liquid, it’s practically a soap that you wipe the sponge over with several times, whilst wetting and then squeezing out the dirt each time. It’s so simple and quick and makes your Beautyblender as good as new. I adore this range and for me, is the best makeup applicator out there. It has so many functions from applying liquid to powder makeup, such as foundation to baking. You can never go wrong with these!

Galifornia Blush by Benefit

There’s always a first time for everything, and this little beauty from Benefit is the first blush I’ve tried from the range. Seriously, where have I been?! The latest release by Benefit is this adorable little pink blush, GALifornia. If you ask me, this is the coolest blush name ever.

The blushes summer vibes is totally getting me excited for a bit of sunshine, especially the packaging that is inspired by California surfer girls. I love the box packaging to, just the same as their much-loved Hoola Bronzer.

As for the blush itself, it’s the most beautiful sunny golden pink shade. It blends a summery pink with shimmering gold flecks, which captures the Californian sunshine dream in a cute little box. On the skin this gives a gorgeous radiance and flush of colour. Its buildable to, but I like to wear this subtly to warm up my skin, but I’ll for sure generic amoxil amoxicillin give this the whole whammy when I’ve got my tan on this summer. This shade would be beautiful on all skin tones due do the pink shade being really delicate and peachy.

What I love about Benefit products is that they cover everything, as the blush also comes with a round mirror in the box and small brush so you can apply on the go. Or, if you forget a brush when you’re travelling (which I do a lot), you always got one there for back up. The brush is super soft and luxurious and diffuses the blush perfectly. I can’t wait to whip this out when the summer finally arrives, and will also be a perfect pick for holiday season!

Available now online and at Boots.

What blush do you love for a summer feel?

Urban Decay refresh? Check. Makeup setting spray refresh? Check. Pardon the puns, Urban Decay have a little refresh makeover of their best-selling setting spray, the All Nighter*. The formula is still its amazing self, but the packaging and feel is all new and I’m loving it.

This setting spray is up there in my favourites because it is just great. It performs just the way you want it to, and you can get extremely long lasting makeup with just a few sprays. A makeup meltdown whilst you’re mid mojo is never fun, so simply misting this over your full-face glam will ensure you have no problems. Its formula is built for all skin types and is free from oils and parabens and has some insane Temperature Control Technology, which works to cool or warm up your makeup depending on the weather conditions. Sounds a bit crazy doesn’t it, but it works. This buy generic ventolin inhaler makes sure your makeup sets for 16-hour wear and gives you smoother looking skin all day and all night.

Now, onto the new packaging. Its really gorgeous and just screams Urban Decay like no other packaging. It comes in a black soft-touch bottle with a purple sprayer and frosted white cap, super cute and classic. The sprayer itself is unlike any I’ve tried, as it spritzes out the finest mist I’ve ever used and doesn’t leave you with a wet or sticky face like some can. This spray is good for on the go due to its compact size; you can just pop it into your handbag.

Urban Decay are on the roll with new and amazing releases, and there are so many more to come in 2017! Who else is excited? You can purchase the all new spray here.

It isn’t very often that I can find a whole handful of products in one go at the drugstore. Sometimes it can be a bit of a struggle to get good colour pay off or good formulations, however I’ve got a whole handful of bits from Rimmel London* that I love to use to get glam.

I love a good palette, and I’m not talking eyes this time around, it’s the Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in Coral Glow. This palette contains all the products you need to sculpt and glow, and this shade is suited to many skin tones. The way I use it may be disregarding the steps they give, but I think it gives the best results. I use shade 2 to contour; this is the perfect shade with slight ‘grey’ undertones to hollow out the cheekbones. With any brush you can pick up the right amount of product, and its really finely milled so its super easy to blend out. Next I bronze up with any bronzer of choice and then add the blush, a gorgeous sun kissed coral shade. I love to pack this on as it’s a little light and different to what I normally go for, but this is gorgeous on the skin. Then, I add the highlight shade. To get the most out of this I use a damp highlighting brush, and to dampen I use MAC’s Fix +. I apply it dry first then a layer with a damp brush, and it gives a subtle but pretty glow.

For the eyes we have the Magnif’eyes Eyeshadow Palette in London Nudes Calling, a stunning array of light neutrals and warm shimmers. I think some shades in this palette are great dupes for the Urban Decay buy isotretinoin online Naked 3 palette, and you can create very similar looks for a fraction of the price. The formula of the shadows is really nice, but the pigmentation can take some time to come through if you’re wanting a full glam. But all of the shades are so pretty and great for quick go-to daytime makeup. I often wear the Scandaleyes Bold Liner, a gorgeous glossy liquid liner that lasts all day. Its innovative ball tip applicator gives an intense bold line, so it’s great to use as a subtle liner or a wing and its so easy to apply.

To add a bit of extra drama the Wonder’Full Mascara is amazing for length and volume. It gives an extreme black finish and doesn’t transfer, as many other types of mascara can do. The only thing I wish was that it wasn’t a plastic applicator, but it works just as well as a few of my other drugstore favourites. Its thin tip is perfect for the bottom lashes and getting in those hard to get places.

Then for lips we have the oh-so gorgeous Kate Lipstick in Boho Nude 56. This is a brown nude, my absolute favourite. Its also in beautiful rose gold packaging, could it be more perfect? The formula of the lipstick is really lightweight and hydrating and has a satin finish. It’s got really nice subtle pigment, and I think would be perfect for those who don’t like super bold lips. The pointed tip of the lipstick makes it really easy to draw on and means you don’t have to wear a liner.

With this range you can go full glam or daytime and is perfect to take on the go with you.

What drugstore finds do you love?

If you admire false lashes but can’t be bothered with the hassle (like many of us on most mornings), then I’ve got a product that will fulfil your dreams. BPerfect Brush on Brow Mascara* is something quite different and unique, and is something I believe all of you would love. I had never heard of a product quite like this, just like many other innovative products BPerfect have produced such as Semi-Permanent Brow formulas and 10 second tanning solution.

Now you might ask, what exactly do you do with this product to give you the false lash effect? Its actually so simple and easy to use. It’s a two-step system that gives you an alternative to lash extensions. With the use of a gel-based formula created with Green Tea Fibre, you will have defined and natural looking lashes in no time. Champagne Pop

When I saw on Snapchat that Jaclyn Hill was bringing out a Champagne Collection Face Palette with BECCA Cosmetics, I went crazy. I couldn’t contain my excitement; I was like a little child. As soon as it went up for
pre-order it was in my basket, and now it’s arrived I just had to share it with you all. It’s too beautiful not to want on my blog, right?

This palette is everything I could ever ask for. It contains 3 blushes and 2 incredible highlighters, one of which is brand new to the range. Could there be anything more exciting? Now we have another to love as well as the coveted Champagne Pop!

You get a lot of product in each pan. Online it appeared much smaller and I was totally surprised when I opened up the package. As well as that, the packaging is super dreamy as you can see. It is now probably the most beautiful piece of makeup I own, and sits very nicely on my dressing table. It is golden in colour with a white top and golden metallic writing. The inside has a large mirror, which is very handy for travelling, and is golden around the pans.

Each and every shade is to die for; they are so beautifully pigmented and creamy. Firstly, we have the 3 blushes, a matte, semi matte and a shimmer. Rose Spritz (left) is an incredible buy generic accutane dupe for Nars’ Orgasm blush; it has the same golden shimmery flecks running through it and is a true pink/peach shade. Next we have two mineral blushes – Amaretto (middle) is a glowy but subtle toasted almond colour and Pamplemousse is a bright coral.

For the highlights we have Champagne Pop (left), which I’m sure most of you will have heard of or own. It’s my go to highlight for everyday as it gives a gorgeous warm champagne shimmer highlight, and the formula of these is insane (as is the next highlight). They’re the most pigmented highlighters I’ve used, but in a very buildable way. Finally, we have the all-new Prosecco Pop (right). This is much more of a golden highlight as opposed to champagne tones, but it isn’t too intense and is very wearable. I’ve been wearing both shades together for an added glow, and it’s my new favourite combination!

Clockwise from top left – Rose Spritz, Amaretto, Pamplemousse, Prosecco Pop, Champagne
I am extremely happy I got this palette, as I don’t tend to buy many face palettes and this one comes with everything I need. I got mine online at Space NK, which has now unfortunately sold out, but it’s available from Sephora, which is linked here.

What are your thoughts on this palette?
