If like me you’re sad to say goodbye to summer and not you’re ready to leave the glow behind, I’ve got your back. Well, Iconic London have got your back.

Fresh summer makeup is for sure one of my favourite things. Some days I’d simply wear highlighter and mascara and leave it at that. Of all the base products I’d have to say that highlighting is my favourite part and is one of the steps I could never miss out.

Liquid highlighter drops used to terrify me, I have to admit. The beauty gurus of YouTube and Instagram made them look so easy and effortless to use and I never thought I’d get the same finish. But, I was so wrong.

Iconic London’s Limited Edition Illuminator Drops* have been my saviour this summer and will sure be staying right by my side throughout the colder months to.

On a regular basis throughout the summer, I’d just pop these drops on top of a primer across the high points of my face and that would be my face makeup done. My favourite places to use these are my cheekbones, brow bone and cupids bow. I sometimes use them on my collarbones if I’m going full glam because quite frankly, why the heck not!

Full glam or minimal, highlighter always makes an appearance.

Whether you’re using the drops with minimal makeup or not, you only need just a few drops to get that highly pigmented popping glow. A little really goes a long way with these. It would be easy to get carried purchase accutane online away but you could turn into a beaming sunshine (not that I’d complain).

Not only can you use this on its own to get a super highlighted glow, you can use this in your foundation, primer and moisturiser. I love the glowiest of all glows so I tend to use this by itself. My favourite way to apply it is straight from the pipet applicator to the high points on my face. Then, I blend the product in a little with my fingertip before blending in smoothly with my Beautyblender.

The pipet applicator is actually one of the things about the product that I love. It makes application so quick and easy, and it also helps control the amount you apply. It feels a bit scary at first putting it up to your face but when you’ve done it once, its so simple and really makes highlighting a breeze.

I’m so glad this little gem has made its way into my life so I don’t have to wave goodbye to the summer glow too soon, if ever.

Iconic London have 3 shades of the illuminator, mine is in original, which is a champagne toned golden shine. The other two shades are for either lighter or deep skin tones. You can shop the range here.

What is your favourite illuminator for a glow?

I think its safe to say that the British summer is failing quite miserably this year isn’t it? We had a few very hot days and not much else since, apart from grey cloud, some rain and miserable ol’ wind. I must admit, I am quite the sun worshipper so when the sun disappears I get very sad and don’t want to face the colder weather. Trust me when I say if I could live in a hot climate all year round, I really would.

This year in particular I just seem to crave sun and the glow that comes with it all the time. As the British sun is hiding away, I’ve been having to make and fake that sun kissed glow myself and I’ve managed to pull through so far with a little help from some Too Faced goodies.

Too Faced really are a saving grace when it comes to feel good makeup. Many of my daily makeup picks are from Too Faced and I have indeed made a few new favourites over the past month or so. When the summer hit, (well, those very few days we did get treated to) I knew it wasn’t going to last forever, so I’ve added these products into my routine so I never have to let go of that summer makeup feel.

Admittedly, I am a bit of a bronzer fiend. I love tanned skin all throughout the year and the Too Faced Endless Summer 16 Hour Bronzer really ticks all of the boxes for my sun kissed cravings. This has the perfect warm bronze hue to it that I love to wear all over the face, sometimes even on my chest, which really makes you feel like you’ve been away somewhere hot. Its pigment is quite perfect and I like to apply it with a large fluffy brush to make it appear more natural, like I have a bronzed buy priligy generic flush. I’m also a huge fan of the Chocolate Soleil Bronzer when I like to add a bit of contour as that has slightly greyer undertones. The 16 Hour Long-Wear is a lot warmer toned, which gives me that glow that I crave.

Adding to the ‘not willing to let go of summer’ theme, one I’ve been obsessed with is the Waterproof Better Sex Mascara. I am a huge fan of the original Better Than Sex, so I was very intrigued by what this version could offer. To be quite honest, I don’t usually get on with waterproof mascaras as they can be so difficult to remove, but this one has worked a dream. It performs in the same way the original does (which is bloody brilliant in my books), in that it gives long fluffy full natural lashes AND its super easy to remove. The only difference is, the waterproof version obviously doesn’t budge when your lashes get wet (very suitable to this wet weather we’re having here in the UK). See what I mean? I just need products to let this summer even feel present!

For the summer, there’s nothing I love more than a juicy glossy lip and for that I’ve been using their Sweet Peach Creamy Lip Gloss Oil in Papa Don’t Peach. This is a medium copper toned peach gloss. If you love brown lips then I highly recommend this to you. These lip-gloss oils are so comfortable to wear, highly pigmented and incredibly long lasting. I love that these feel hydrating instead of sticky and irritating, especially for when the wind gets up!

Guys and girls, I’m really not willing to let go of summer, are you?!

Hello lovelies and welcome back to a new post. Gosh it feels so weird having a little break from it all but it was much needed. After I came back from holiday I started job hunting and trying to get back on track, and with daily blogging straight for over 6 and a half months, I think I just needed a little time away. It’s helped me find my motivation and mojo again, so it was all worth it.

I’m back with a new travel/fashion post. Whilst I was away and during the past weeks off, I’ve thought a lot about switching up my content more and sharing more about me and what I love as well as beauty. Fashion and travel are becoming huge passions of mine to and I have so many ideas it’s quite motivating. Changing up my content is something I’ve been thinking about for a while and I hope you enjoy it. Now, let’s get into it.

A few weeks back I embarked on my first ever trip to the Caribbean. It’s a destination I always thought I was far off from being able to travel to, but when we found the perfect trip to the Dominican Republic it just had to be ours. We stayed at Excellence El Carmen in Punta Cana, a 5-star luxury resort that was far away from everything, which in my opinion is pure paradise. When I travel I like to get lost in myself and relax, explore and soak it all up. Since finishing University in May I’ve needed an escape from it all and this was my treat for surviving the past 3 years and coming out with a degree!

Our hotel was located right on a private beach, so to my liking much of the trip was spent relaxing by the ocean or the pool.

However, as I said I do love to explore. For a day trip we decided to head out and visit Samana, a mountainous buy cheap ventolin online terrain located on the northeastern Atlantic coast of the island. In this part of the island, we spent the morning travelling to Samana on a Catamaran, visiting a local plantation farm and trekking through the jungle on horseback to a beautiful waterfall – all of which I’ll be writing a separate post on as it was an experience I HAVE to share in great detail. It was just insane. I never thought i’d horseback in the Caribbean let alone through a jungle?!

From there on we headed to Bacardi Island, also known as Cayo Levantado, a teeny tiny remote island with stunning turquoise waters and white sand beaches. When we hopped off the Catamaran and stepped foot on the island I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. The island was so quiet and unpopulated it really was true paradise. After dipping into the blue waters and soaking up the sun we decided to fly the drone and take a look at the surroundings, which by the way totally blew my mind. Once the drone had flown up just a few seconds the entire island was in shot, putting into perspective how remote it really is.

I could honestly live on a remote island like Cayo Levantado as I was seriously in my element and didn’t want to leave. Fresh coconuts and constant sunshine? Yes please. Living in swimwear wouldn’t be too bad either, better than having to wear jumpers and sweats throughout our British summer ay?

This bikini I managed to get my hands on was a lifesaver for this trip. Not only was it a complete bargain, it felt so luxurious and complimenting. I’ve never felt so comfortable in swimwear as I have with this. You can find it (and similar pieces) below.

Want to see and hear more about my tropical vacation? Stay tuned!

What is paradise to you?

Summer makeup for me really is all about that glow, that dewy sunkissed skin. To be honest though, I love a glow all year round, but summer time is when I feel I can go all out with the highlight products. The glowy (verging on oily) look can be blamed on the sunshine and the heat, right?

This year I have being seeing a lot of peachy vibes in the makeup scene. The peachy glow is a big hit for many and it certainly is for me. I’ve been using a lot of peach toned blushers, shadows and lip products but please welcome my new peachy glow obsession *mic drop*. It’s the Kiko Milano Highlighting Drops* from their Summer 2.0 in Plushy Rose, a stunning peachy pink liquid glow. I do love a good multi-tasking, and this is one of them. You can use this alone on the usual high points of the face (the cheekbones, cupids bow, nose, forehead) or mix it in with your primer or even your foundation.

Typically, glow drops are a golden/bronze shade so seeing them in such a pretty peach shade really got me excited. I may have let out a little squeal…

The formula of this is like none I’ve used before, as it’s a very fine fluid and is quite runny, but blends out with not much effort at all. Don’t let the fine liquid formula put you off, as you only need the tiniest amount of this and you’ll be super glowy. It blends great with the fingers or a sponge on its own, but if mixed in with another product I always use a sponge for a streak-free flawless base. You only need one to two drops of this with a foundation or primer, and the pipet applicator lets you accurately dispense the product without getting it everywhere.

You may already know this about me, but I’m all for glossy lips at the minute to. I need all the glow I can get in the warmer weather, I’m serious. The Summer 2.0 collection boasts a range of summer themed lip products, ones that can make your sun kissed look appear really glowy. I’ve been testing out the PH Lip Enhancer* in Rossetto to see what it can do for my small not-so-plump lips. All I can say is I needed this in my life a long doxycycline buy online time ago. I don’t usually like lipstick like balms but this is beautifully formulated. I use this alone as a balm or even over top a lip liner. It hydrates your lips whilst adding a slight tint and makes them feel and appear so juicy. It even makes my lips look plumper and that’s hard to come by. A serious must-have for holidays!

Now, here comes the most effortless highlighting range I’ve come across. I’m usually one for all the glow, but one those minimal makeup days I’ve finally found a highlighter I can use without it looking false. The Kiko Tropic Heat Dewy Stick* is the answer to a wet-look natural looking glow that I’ve been on the hunt for for a long time. As soon as I used this I feel in love. It almost feels and looks like a lip balm, but it’s a creamy clear dew stick for the face.

You can also use the Dewy Stick as a base for powder highlighters to make them pop and adhere better to the face.

I’m not usually one for a liquid glow pot, I don’t know why but they don’t sit right on my skin. However, I can seem to make the Kiko Illuminante Viso Face Highlighter* work. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautiful formula, it reminds me a little of the Topshop Glow Pots but is more lightweight. This is a similar formula to the Highlighting Drops as its quite runny but this is a little less fluid. Again, you can blend this with your fingers or a sponge. This is in the shade 01, a very pale pearl highlight, which is a little light for my skin but I’ve used this as a base for my highlight. I would love to try this in a darker shade as I usually go for bronze toned highlighters as I have a slight warm yellow undertone.

The Kiko Milano summer beauty products are seriously giving me sun kissed glowy skin vibes – I’m in awe of it! If you desire a true summer glow, you may want a little look at the other bits in the range to. You can shop it here.

What kind of glow do you love?

I’m not going to lie, when it comes to packing my makeup bag I used to be uber obsessive. I used to take endless amounts of makeup products that I didn’t need. Three foundations, ten lipsticks, three different eyeshadow palettes – a bit excessive, right? Then, after the first day of being there, my foundation no longer matches and I want to be as minimal with my makeup as possible in the heat. This time around I’m changing the game and taking as little as possible. So if you’re an over packer to, then my new minimal makeup bag packing tips might sway you to take only what you’ll need.

I only ever wear makeup in the evening, as I like to be barefaced during the day, so here’s what I’m taking with me this year.

First. If you’re going somewhere super hot and you’re gonna get sticky, I’d suggest to either not take a foundation or take a BB cream. It’s unbelievable how many times I’ve taken foundations away with me and not used them, so this year I’m not taking one. To prep the skin I’ll be using a dewy primer as I love a true glow on holiday, and I’ll be taking a the L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer as I recently rediscovered this and am obsessed again. It adds instant glow and also looks so pretty worn alone. I generally stick to using a bit of concealer to hide any spots or blemishes and that’s the base done. My favourite for this is the Urban Decay Naked Concealer as it’s so lightweight and becomes invisible to the eye. Two products and that’s the base done.

When you’re on holiday there’s nothing quite like a bronze glow. For that I tend to stick with my trusty MAC Gimme Sun Bronzer as it’s dark enough to bronze up my skin no matter what tan I achieve. It also sits so well on bare skin and doesn’t feel powdery. To get that ultimate glow I’ll of course be taking a blinding highlight duo, consisting of the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Sunlight and Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlight in So Hollywood – this is my go to for a golden glow! For a pop of added colour on the cheeks I’ll use my favourite Benefit GALifornia Blush, a pretty peach shade that is beautiful with sunkissed skin. Then to finish the face you can’t forget the setting spray, especially in the heat, and I’ll be taking the Urban Decay All Nighter away with me as it does wonders for locking your makeup into place all evening.

Instead of taking a heap of palettes that really never even make it out of the suitcase, I’m taking just one. Yes you read it right, one! I’ve chose to take the trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette, as burnt orange and chocolate shades are my go to for holiday. With the matte shades are some beautiful shimmers and you can really create so many looks from this one palette. You can go for a subtle gold shimmery eye to a smoky deep brown, so I really do trust buy accutane 10mg this to get me through the two weeks. When I got this I used it for weeks without using anything else, so I’m pretty sure it’ll do me justice. To prime the lids I’ll use my concealer as I always do and set it with the Nars Translucent Powder, which will be used for the face sometimes to (this powder is so versatile and is great for light packing).

I don’t actually wear liquid or kohl liner at the minute, so I can skip that part and it’s straight onto the lashes. For more minimal days I’ll stick by the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara as it adds amazing length and volume so fast. When I want to dress my face up a bit more I’ll be using my favourite Ardell Wispies.

I’ll be keeping it quite simple for the lips with a nude liner and lipstick, probably MAC Spice and Tarte’s Matte Lip Paint in Bestie. For a brighter lip I’ll be using the oh so beautiful Sydney Amaryllis matte liquid lipstick from The Body Shop, which is a bright coral that looks so pretty with bronzed skin. For a bit of sass I’ll be throwing in Jouer’s Lip Topper in St Tropez that is super pigmented and leaves your lips a shimmering champagne shade.

How many products was that, 15? As opposed to the 30+ I used to take, I think I’ve done pretty well. This all fits into my cute Skinny Dip Peach makeup bag WITH lots of room for other stuff (as opposed to the huge bag double this size that I used to take).

Along with the makeup, you can’t forget all the essential makeup brushes and tools, but for those I’m also taking as little as I can. Of course my priority is my Beautyblender as I can’t go anywhere with it and for the bronze and glow I’ll use a fluffy bronzer brush and Zoeva Fan Brush.

My eye brushes will consist of a large fluffy blender, small crease brush and inner corner highlight. I love to pack on the lid colour with my finger as it picks up more pigment and also means one less brush! I pack all of my brushes along with the other tools in my Blank Canvas Cosmetics Compact Upright Pouch, a super handy storage tool for any makeup kit. You can read all about it here.

I also ALWAYS pack a few tools, as you never know what you might need whilst you’re away. This includes:

Tweezers – for those flyaway brows / Small scissors – can be used for anything & A Spoolie Brush – to comb through the brows and lashes.

That’s my holiday makeup bag done! Honestly, that’s a quarter of the makeup I used to take. Why did I feel the need to take half my collection for one face? I really have no idea. If you’re an over packer I hope this little list of product I’m taking away with me inspires you to pack less!

What’s your go to evening holiday makeup look?

Galifornia Blush by Benefit

There’s always a first time for everything, and this little beauty from Benefit is the first blush I’ve tried from the range. Seriously, where have I been?! The latest release by Benefit is this adorable little pink blush, GALifornia. If you ask me, this is the coolest blush name ever.

The blushes summer vibes is totally getting me excited for a bit of sunshine, especially the packaging that is inspired by California surfer girls. I love the box packaging to, just the same as their much-loved Hoola Bronzer.

As for the blush itself, it’s the most beautiful sunny golden pink shade. It blends a summery pink with shimmering gold flecks, which captures the Californian sunshine dream in a cute little box. On the skin this gives a gorgeous radiance and flush of colour. Its buildable to, but I like to wear this subtly to warm up my skin, but I’ll for sure generic amoxil amoxicillin give this the whole whammy when I’ve got my tan on this summer. This shade would be beautiful on all skin tones due do the pink shade being really delicate and peachy.

What I love about Benefit products is that they cover everything, as the blush also comes with a round mirror in the box and small brush so you can apply on the go. Or, if you forget a brush when you’re travelling (which I do a lot), you always got one there for back up. The brush is super soft and luxurious and diffuses the blush perfectly. I can’t wait to whip this out when the summer finally arrives, and will also be a perfect pick for holiday season!

Available now online and at Boots.
